LAP SWIM JUNE 29-JULY 3
POOL SIGN-UP JUNE 27-JULY 3
This week we will be dividing the pool into thirds, so there are more slots for swimming. You can sign up for the deep end, middle section, shallow end, or kiddie pool.

LAP SWIM begins 6/22
Hi, neighbors!
We are excited to begin offering lap swim hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 7:00-9:00 am beginning next week. There will be three lanes available and you can reserve a 50-minute slot for lap swimming. Please wear a mask when you arrive to check in with the lifeguards.
For this first week, as we see what the demand is for lap swim, please limit to signing up for one slot per week. More than one member of a family/household may share a lane. Note that this time is reserved for exercising lap swim for adults and older teens who are interested in time to get a swim workout.
Please understand that we are continually assessing the best ways to do things and making changes as needed.

Please also note that going forward, the sign-up links for the next week’s pool hours and lap swim will be posted on the blog on Wednesday mornings by 9:00 am.
POOL JUNE 20-26
Hi, Neighbors!
Just a reminder that we are attempting to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the County. Please wear a mask upon arrival at the pool, socially distance on the deck, and remember to bring your own chairs.
A note about open slots on the schedule: We are asking each family to only sign up for two sessions per week on the sign-up genius. However, if you see that there is an opening in the schedule one morning, you are welcome to drop by the pool (in a mask, of course) to see if that slot is still available, and reserve that slot in person with the lifeguards.

Happy swimming!
POOL RULES 6/13
POOL SIGN-UP 6/13-19
POOL PLAN 6/13-6/19
Hello, neighbors!
Due to the guidelines from the county, we are opening the pool with very limited use at this time. Our first day will be Saturday, June 13, from 1:00-8:15. Please keep in mind that we are in uncharted territory and are doing our best to make a plan that works and keeps us all safe. We will be constantly assessing and making changes if necessary.
Current resident families/households will be able to sign up for an hour slot in one area of the pool. You may choose to reserve the deep end, the shallow end, or the kiddie pool. Only three families/households will be at the pool for each hour. Please do not sign up for more than two slots during the week so we can share the opportunity with all of our neighbors.
The sign-up will be done on a sign-up genius page which will be shared with the community each Wednesday morning for the next Saturday through Friday.
Please wear masks upon arrival. A lifeguard will check you in. You will have 50 minutes in the pool and 10 minutes to clean up and leave the pool deck. The lifeguards will then take their breaks and await the next group of neighbors coming to the pool.
Please note that at this time there will be NO GUESTS allowed at the pool. Only current Montevideo residents and household members who currently live in their homes with them will be permitted at the pool. Because we have such a limited opening, we are reserving the spots for families who live in Montevideo. Thanks for your understanding.
Due to COVID restrictions and in an effort to minimize shared equipment, chairs will not be available at the pool. Please plan to bring chairs, towels, or blankets to sit on. There will be one pop-up or umbrella available for each family/household to use for shade.
Again, please keep in mind that things are constantly changing. We are basing decisions on county guidelines, as well as the resources we have to keep the pool and deck safe for everyone. This is what we’re trying for now and we’ll be constantly assessing and adapting to make things as safe and fun as possible. Keep checking the blog and facebook to stay up-to-date.
Happy swimming!
the MIA Board
POOL UPDATE
Hello Neighbors!
Hope you all continue to be safe and healthy. As many of us are aware, the County has lifted the order on outdoor pools and they can open with strict guidelines. One of our main responsibilities as a board is to ensure the safety and well being of our community and all who surround us. As much as we would love to open the pool to you all June 5th, we will not be able to. We are currently working on the best possible plan to open, using not only the guidelines and protocols set forth by the County and CDC, but additional safety measures in order to protect our community in the best way possible. In addition to finalizing the plan, we are also in the process of finalizing our lifeguarding staff and their certifications. Please know that with these safety guidelines and protocols, the pool will not be able to open and operate as it has in the past. Just like everything else these days, we now have a new normal which is forever changing. We ask that you bear with us as we proceed through this trying time. We do plan on opening the pool with limitations the following weekend. We will be in touch soon with more information.
As always, should you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact the Board directly at board@miahomeowners.com. We appreciate your feedback. As we have come to know, we are all in this together.
Thank you for your understanding,
Kerry, Brent, Ron, Laura, and Sarah
