Swim Lessons at the Pool

We are pleased to offer swim lessons to residents of Montevideo and members of the Montevideo Piranhas. MIA Lifeguards will provide half-hour swim lessons between 12:00PM and 1:00PM.

Lessons are $30 per half-hour.

Due to liability concerns, and to ensure the safety and quality of the lessons only certified lifeguards and employees of MIA may conduct swim lessons at the pool.

Visit our Swim Lessons page to request a lesson.

June 3rd Happy Hour Celebration

Whether it’s a graduation, freedom, or equality, there is always something to celebrate in June!

Join us at the Pool BBQ area on June 3rd, 5:30PM-7:30PM. Bring something to share and we’ll raise toast to new neighbors and old, to our recent graduates, the end of the school year and start of summer.

As a special treat, the pool will be open 5:30 PM to 8PM, so bring the kids and your swimsuit. Lifeguards will be on duty.

Fourth of July 2022

Hello Neighbors!

We are excited about the upcoming July 4th fun in Montevideo. The parade theme this year is National Parks. We are excited to see what people come up with for their parade entries.

To sign up to be in the parade, fill out this google form. Any group of neighbors can be in the parade; it doesn’t have to be by street. Grab a few friends and come up with an idea based on the theme and join in the parade!

To purchase meals for the BBQ or register for the race (coming soon), go to our website shop. After submitting your order, watch for an invoice and pay online. (The invoice will not be immediate, but will be sent within a day.)

To volunteer to help with the race, set up, food service, or clean up, click here.

Watch for a newsletter on your doorstep later this week. (See below.)

Would you like to know more about Mayoral Candidate, Matt Mahan?

Matt Mahan will be at our Club House on May 2 at 7pm for a meet-and-greet for our neighbors to get to know him and learn more about his campaign for Mayor.

This is not a political event or a fundraiser for Matt’s campaign. This is simply an opportunity for Matt to meet neighbors. He wants to hear from all of you, regardless of who people might support in the race.

Although an RSVP is not required to attend, you may do so by clicking here. If you would like to provide a light refreshment, please email Kerry at clubhouse@miahomeowners.com

Any questions regarding Matt or his campaign, please contact adrian@mahanforsanjose.com

April 1 -Happy Hour

Montevideo’s First Friday Happy Hour falls on April 1 this month, which also happens to be National Hospital Admitting Clerks Day, as well as National Trombone Players Day, National Sourdough Bread Day, National One Cent Day, and of course, my personal favorite, National Edible Book Day!

Whether or not you are a hospital admitting clerk, or a trombone player, or a bread aficionado, join us for Happy Hour 5pm to 7pm on Friday April 1, 2022 at the clubhouse to enjoy some edible books and some trombone music.

Bring something to share. Bring your family.

See you Friday.
